Hi, I’m Samantha.
I’ve always believed the lessons learned through sport shape how we perform, lead, and live. My foundation began in swimming, where I developed discipline, focus, and consistency. It expanded on the softball field and basketball court, where I learned teamwork, resilience, and leadership under pressure.
As a collegiate and professional athlete, I experienced both peak performance and setbacks. Those moments taught me how to manage performance anxiety, stay mentally strong in high-pressure environments, and build confidence that translates beyond sport. This lived experience informs how I understand pressure, performance, and identity in the clients I work with today.
Stepping away from athletics and coaching challenged my identity in a new way. Like many high performers, I had to navigate an identity transition and redefine who I was outside of performance. That process led me into the field of mental health counseling and trauma-informed care.
During graduate school, I experienced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing as a client. EMDR therapy helped me process unresolved experiences, reduce stress and anxiety, and reconnect with a stronger sense of self. That transformation shaped my clinical approach and deepened my commitment to helping others heal.
Today, as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in trauma-informed therapy and EMDR therapy for athletes, first responders, executives, and high performers. My work focuses on anxiety, OCD, trauma, stress management, and emotional regulation, helping clients heal and feel steady under pressure.
I help clients build resilience, regulate their nervous system, and develop the confidence to feel grounded when pressure is high. Whether you are navigating burnout, anxiety, trauma, or a difficult transition, this work supports your mental health and overall wellbeing.

My approach blends EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with performance psychology and several evidence-based therapies:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): helps identify unhelpful patterns, reframe thoughts, and build practical coping strategies.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): develops emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and skills for navigating high-intensity situations.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): strengthens psychological flexibility, values-based action, and the ability to stay present under pressure.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Training: supports nervous system regulation to improve focus, resilience, and recovery.
